The monthly meeting, held at the club grounds, was called to order at 7:07 pm by the Club President, Steve Arteman. President Steve Arteman's Opening Remarks: The membership is full and closed to new applicants! We have 150 regular members plus 11 life members. Anyone wanting to become a member between now and October may submit an application, to placed on a waiting list. Waiting list applicants will have priority over walk-in applicants when New members are accepted at the October through April meetings. As is customary, membership renewals are processed first, then waiting-list applicants and finally walk-in applicants.

Additional items: There were a couple of incidents at the last fun ride that caused tempers to flare and indicates a need to change how we run the fun rides. There were some members riding the wrong way on the course. After much discussion we decided to do the following at the next fun ride (May 21st)

1. The Fun Ride will start at 10:00 AM and end at 2:00.
2. There will be no riding of any kind before 10:00 unless directed by a Club Official to check the course.
3. Riders must be at least 10 years old in order to ride the fun ride.
4. A sign will be posted indicating that the fun ride is in progress.
5. Absolutely no open riding is permitted until ½ hour after the fun ride is over.
6. An indicator (red flag, sign or banner) will be posted to indicate the fun ride is over.
7. A designated rider will "sweep" the course after the end of ride indicator is posted to make sure that all riders are finished.
8. After the end of ride indicator is taken down, open riding may begin.

WHEN OPEN RIDING BEGINS - PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION - AS SOME RIDERS WILL, NO DOUBT, STILL RIDING THE MARKED COURSE. RIDE LIKE THERE WILL BE SOMEONE COMING AT YOU AT ALL TIMES FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!

May Fun Ride: The next Fun Ride will be held on May 21st. A new course will be set up for this event. If you need work hours please take down the arrows for the old fun ride. There will be a work day May 20th. Remember there is no riding during work hours, 8:00 - 2:00 unless the Grounds Keeper posts other hours on that day.

Treasurer's report: We have approximately $7,100 in the club treasury. All of our bills are paid; we will be incurring some expenses with the upcoming race.

Website: Pictures, work records and meeting records have been added and updated.

From the Landowner: Just before the meeting ended, Ryan Nuding (Gene Timmerman's grandson) conveyed a message from Gene.

The family was a bit disappointed that the field used for parking and staging the annual Charity Race was not cleaned of stakes, ribbons and trash immediately after the event. Ryan stated that he cleaned much of the remnants of the event the next day as they had scheduled to have fertilizer applied. Weather prevented the application on the following Monday, so it was not a major issue.

Between Nov. 19th and the 27th, 7 members recorded work time for cleaning up from the event. One member recorded time for taking down markers on Dec. 11th and other members were still claiming time for course clean up as late as Feb.26th. The family asks that if we use the fields for the next Charity Race, that we try to do a better job of cleaning up immediately after the event. Ryan also says Gene is doing much better since his surgery and that he is exercising regularly. He said he might even walk down some night just to say hi.

The meeting adjourned at 7:42.

The next meeting will be June 6th at the Club grounds 7:00PM.
