Old Business: A Motion was made in July’s Meeting that “All six wheel vehicles, ATVs designed to carry the operator and a passenger and any four wheel vehicle designed where the driver and passenger sit beside one another, commonly referred to as MUV's (Multi-User Vehicles) by the motorsports industry, are banned from using the club grounds for recreational purposes. These types of vehicles are allowed only for the speedy and safe transport of an injured person, to retrieve a broken down machine or to transport tools and supplies for grounds maintenance where such a machine is required due to the size or quantity of materials to be used.” Upon voting Aug 5 14 members voted to ban MUV’s and 7 voted not to ban. So therefore the motion was passed MUV’s are banned from recreational use on club grounds.

The Trials event held in July was a great success, coverage of the event was received by The Decatur Herald & Review and WAND TV. The class taught by Ryan Young was wonderful, I know my kids were stunned and entertained by the trials bikes.

Report of the By-Laws Committee by Steve Arteman:
The By-Laws committee met at Rusty's bar and grill after last months regular meeting. The committee reviewed the work from the previous meeting and presented the preliminary Revised By-Laws to the club body. There was brief discussion about the proposed By-Laws and it was recommended that the revised document will be printed and a quantity placed in the clubhouse for any interested member to have. It was also recomended that the document be put on the club website. There will be discussion about the proposed revised By-Laws at the next meeting and permission to seek review by a corporate attorney will be asked for.
NEW BUSINESS
Groundskeeper Report by Tom Robinson: Fence work requested by Landowner Gene Timmerman has not started due to a lack of communication with Mr. Timmerman. Cutting of the hedge trees on the East side of the parking lot is ongoing. Culverts through-out the club grounds need attention: un-clogging and covering are the main issues. The grass lot on the east side of the hedge and west of the former Gene Maples residence needs to be mowed as soon as the property boundries are established. And a permanent fence needs to be erected from the gate southward to replace the current snow fence.
