White City Toys for Tots Race
11/26/2006

Me and some buds had so much fun at the Dirt Riders Charity Race that we decided to go to the White City dealio and try our luck. Man, were we glad we did. It was me (Chris Smith, web geek), Kyle Stinebaker, Mike Wade and my neighbor/new member Greg Gourley. Kyle and I raced together in the Team C class and Mike and Greg teamed up in the +40 class. We all did great and had a ball. The sun was shining, it was 60 degrees and the course was fun. If it was wet, we all agreed that we'd have done one lap, then quit like the girly men we are. It was held at Cahokia Creek Dirt Riders just outside of White City, which is the next exit south of Litchfield Illinois on I-55.

One loop was 8 miles, which is easy because their clubgrounds are about 700 acres! A lap took half an hour, jeez.
A sweet pic on the moto track, which is a SMALL part of the course.

That's it, I spent the rest of the time racing. We had a blast. The course was challenging without being too hard, the laps were long, but fun. We're goin' back next year for sure!
